Appearance: Alvis is a short and thin girl, with her build being average for an 11 year old. She has long, light tan hair which is always pulled up and out of the way by two hair covers which stick up off of each side of her head and are black with a red ring in the middle. Her minimal bangs, pale skin, a small nose, and grey blue eyes coupled with her round-ish face make her look even younger than she is. Al wears a white dress with a white apron on top. The dress has slightly puffed sleeves that end a bit above her elbows and have a black ribbon stitched into the ends to keep sleeves from moving around. The bottom of the dress has the same style at the hem which ends a few inches past her knees. The collar of the dress has a black border and a thick red line inside and ends in two large black circles with grey bordered buttons inside. The apron is white like the dress and has two lines of black buttons going down the center. The ties crisscross and tie in the back and the hem ends a hand span above the hem of the dress and has a frill. Her black boots end about halfway up her lower leg and have a small red platform and heel.
Personality: Perhaps because of her upbringing, Alvis is shy and acts much younger than she actually is. She has a very young and quiet voice even when yelling. When around new people she always has a very worried look on her face and rarely talks, even if someone she already knows is with her. Kind hearted and innocent, Alvis only gets mad at people whom her friends don’t like and usually ends up being friends with them in the end. She tries to keep her friends happy but due to her innocent nature, she doesn’t worry very much. Alvis is quite naïve and trusting of people and never suspects people of lying to her. Although being innocent and naïve, she is observant enough to understand when a situation is serious and tends to stay out of the way and keep extra quiet.
Abilities/Strengths: Alvis is the key to Exile because she holds the answers to the four mysteria which hold the power to restore Exile to its true form. If the questions are posed to her, she enters a trance like state, begins to glow, and replies with the answers automatically. When in this state, all fires near Alvis turn into bonfires, complex machinery overloads, and any atmosphere begins to turn into something close to a low-pressured hurricane. She is nimble and decent at sneaking around, but has no other special powers or abilities. Alvis does however have strength from her personality. Because she is so innocent, she doesn’t tend to stay upset for very long and the smallest things usually cheer her up. This happiness and ability to move on keep her from being trapped in the past and allow her to look towards the future.
Weaknesses: As much as Alvis’s personality is a strength, it is also a weakness. Because she is so innocent and trusting, she can trust the wrong people and get herself into a dangerous situation. Her shyness and lack of physical strength and size tend to keep her helpless in dangerous situations and she is forced to rely on others to help her. Knowing that she is mostly helpless, the only tactic Alvis uses to protect herself is screaming, hoping that someone will hear her ear piercing shrieks and come to her rescue.
Notable Possessions: A stuffed animal ram with a bell tied around its neck. If squeezed it would make a “baaah!” noise.

History: Alvis Hamilton was born in secret to the house of Hamilton, one of the four noble Guild houses. She spent her whole life raised in secret with her nurse Guita and the remaining member of the house. Eventually the house of Eraclea discovered not only her existence, but also the fact that she was the key to Exile. Guita commissioned a vanship pilot named Ralph Wednesday to transport them to a ship called Silvana, the safest place in the world. The Guild, controlled only by the house of Eraclea who had wiped out all the other houses, gave pursuit and ended up killing Guita, mortally injuring Ralph, and heavily damaged the vanship.
It was at that time that they encountered Claus Valca and Lavie Head who were in the middle of a race. Claus agreed to carry on Ralph’s mission and took Alvis with them when they escaped from the Guild thanks to a diversion that Ralph created at the price of his life. Once back at Claus and Lavie’s house Alvis woke up, confused and asking for Guita. She acted quite shy around them and even had trouble eating the meal that Lavie had prepared, causing Lavie to loose her temper. Claus told Alvis that Guita was away for a bit but that they would meet up with her later and Alvis seemed to accept that answer. She ended up falling asleep in Claus’s room that night. In the middle of the night she woke up and pulled a stuffed animal ram off of the shelf to look at. It falls over and makes a “baaah!” noise, surprising her. It was then that the Guild starship found them again and attacked the house, which forced the three of them to make an early and hasty escape.
Once underground in the river channels they believe themselves safe. Alvis asks if Guita is dead revealing that she knew the truth all along and Claus admits that she is dead. Alvis finally is able to eat Lavi’s food without hesitation, a sign of her trust. They are ambushed by the Guild starship again and only escape thanks to Claus’s unrivaled flying skills. Their vanship gets damaged however and they are forced to make a crash landing. They believe the starship to be destroyed and realize that they ended up landing at their desired destination. The starship showed up again and grabbed Alvis and however hard they tried, Claus and Lavie couldn’t free her. Alvis was knocked unconscious during this struggle, but the starship was stopped when Alex Row, the captain of the Silvana, shot the pilot with a large rifle.
When Alvis woke up next she was in a strange place with strange people whom she didn’t know. She set off to explore her new location, which was the Silvana, and ended up in the hanger where she found Claus and Lavie’s heavily damaged vanship. After being initially scared by the mechanics in the hanger they won her over with simple slight of hand tricks and games. Sophia Forrester, the Vice-Captain of the ship then comes down to the hanger to give Alvis the stuffed ram that Claus and Lavie brought her and takes her to see them.
The Silvana is attacked by a fleet of Guild starships and after the battle Claus finally decided that the Silvana is indeed the safest place for Alvis. He and Lavie stay on board as well. After Claus and Lavie participate in and win the most famous Vanship race in order to cover up for a secret mission, Dio Eraclea and Luciora, members of the Guild. Alvis initially dislikes Dio because he bothers Claus and shuns him in a very childlike manner. Dio is the younger brother of Maestro Delphine Eraclea who is the head of the Guild and thus knows one of the mysteria. In a bout of curiosity he whispers it to her, thus causing her to enter her trance like state. When she came out of it, she was in Econtra.
